  • Assess relative urgency of data privacy priorities and calibrate efforts accordingly

  • Serve as primary subject matter authority on all data privacy and security laws and requirements to various business units worldwide and throughout the organization

  • Partner with security and compliance teams to enhance and advance Atlassian’s Trust narrative

  • Evangelize the importance of data privacy and security throughout the organization through training and awareness programs

  • Lead conversations with senior company executives to frame the privacy and data security risks associated with key business decisions.

  • Partner with commercial transactions team to draft and negotiate privacy and data security terms for vendor and partner contracts.

  • Provide support and guidance on data breach requirements and managing breach notification efforts.

More about you

On your first day, we'd love you to have:

    • Sound business judgment and ability to assess and tolerate risk

    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of privacy and data security laws and requirements, including cross-border data transfers, and the ability to apply them to non-standard and highly complex situations

    • Ability to coordinate projects across different jurisdictions globally

    • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives to conclusion in a timely manner

    • Engaging personality who can influence through persuasion rather than direct authority

Extra points if you also have:
