Development Team Lead - Customer Success, Marketplace

As a Development Team Lead for Atlassian, you'll guide a small, entrepreneurial team of developers responsible for improving the customer experience with add-ons on the Atlassian Marketplace. You'll be a tinkerer, with a natural curiosity for learning combined with a desire for experimenting with new ideas and technologies. You'll be responsible for providing technical leadership and mentorship through pairing, daily stand-ups, code reviews and ongoing support for a fast-moving team building experimental features to improve customer success. You'll work closely with developers, product managers and designers to shape the customer success experience. You’ll ensure that commitments stay on track, remove any roadblocks, and facilitate timely decision-making. You’ll also help the team evaluate the size and shape of features and the impact of any trade-offs. This role meets with team members one-on-one to foster growth and help developers reach their career goals. You’ll also collaborate with other teams across Atlassian to exchange expertise and ensure project coordination is handled smoothly.
As a candidate to be a Development Team Lead, we expect you to have:
- Strong experience working with Java in a professional environment
- Experience growing and nurturing high performing, agile teams (4-6 person)
- A deep architectural understanding of web applications
- Creativity, experiment-driven approach, and innovative problem-solving skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Been on the front-lines dealing with customers and/or support
- Excitement about the latest trends in application design, SOA and microservices
- Experience with agile software development methodologies like XP or Scrum
- Interest to learn more about new languages and frameworks
