Our HipChat team has an opportunity for a talented UX Designer to join us in San Francisco. HipChat is an industry leading collaboration tool intended to give teams a single place to share information, while minimizing unnecessary emails and meetings. As a Designer for HipChat, you'll be involved in early stage research for actionable insights, problem definition and ideation, and UI implementation, validation and iteration. HipChat also stretches across desktop and mobile apps and has a large variety of design challenges in store. Ultimately it’s about creating and shipping the best possible user experience, whether for our customers or internally at Atlassian.

We love designers who are eager to deliver across the entire design process, and not just one aspect such as user research or visual design. We would love for you to be really good in at least one design-focused skill and have 3+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX Designer or UI Designer, ideally with SaaS, mobile, or complex enterprise applications. Experience working on cross-platform products is a big plus. Your colleagues probably describe you as a self-starter with your eye constantly on solutions, and someone who can easily step into the customer's shoes with the enthusiasm to create great experiences. You’ll also need strong facilitation and collaboration abilities, a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams, and the attitude to always strive for the best outcomes.
