Designer

Job Description

Do you live and breathe the user experience? Do you love solving tough problems, and thrive on variety? Atlassian is currently seeking a UX Designer to join our growing Design team in San Francisco.

As a Designer at Atlassian, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of design challenges. You will be involved in the end-to-end design process, including early stage research and ideation, implementation and iteration.

You will be partnering with our IT team and your cross-functional triad to help build and design the tools and processes that help unleash the potential of Atlassians as they do great work keeping our business and operations running smoothly. Ultimately it's about creating a stellar user experience - no matter what.

More about you

We love designers who are eager to deliver across the entire design process, and not just one aspect such as user research or visual design. Ideally, you have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX Designer or Interaction Designer, ideally with software or complex web-based applications experience;
  • The ability to easily demonstrate your love of problem solving and digging below the surface of things.
  • A self-starter attitude with your eye constantly on simple solutions, and
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, a flexible and friendly approach to working in teams, and the attitude to always strive for the best outcomes.

More about our team

You'll be joining a team that is crazy smart and very direct. We challenge each other constantly to improve our work and ask hard questions.

We're dedicated to agile methodology and big believers in 'lean', which means we don't do documentation for documentation's sake. We also know all too well the importance of validating assumptions about users and use various types of testing to prove ourselves right (or wrong).

More about the perks

Our offices are open, highly collaborative and yes, fun! To support you at work (and play) we offer some killer perks: ample time off to relax and recharge, five paid volunteer days a year for your favourite cause, plenty of food and drinks, ergonomic workstations with Aeron chairs, 20% work time for your passion projects, unique ShipIt days, a company paid trip after five years and more.
