Cash Application Specialist (full time)
Basic Summary of Position: Individual is responsible for accurately posting both cash and credit deposits into the Company computer systems by deposit date and conducting daily cash reconciliation. Strong communication skills and friendly disposition required with office staff to ensure the accuracy of data within the patient account.
Essential Functions: 1. Accurate entry of daily payments into computer by date of deposit including credit card payments from locations. 2. Print batch reports and balance each cash batch posted. 3. Work and correct any errors as identified. 4. Identify any necessary contract issues related to incorrect payments and communicate to supervisor/manager immediately. 5. Submit secondary insurance claims and attach necessary primary EOB's as needed. 6. Apply knowledge of practice procedures to respond to incoming correspondence and documents. 7. Communicate/correspond with office personnel to ensure accuracy of data within the patient account. Notify appropriate Patient Account Specialist of any discrepancies. 8. The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees. 9. The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers. 10. Ability to comply with ATI standards of operations 11. Ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Company Non-Essential Functions: 1. Answer multi-line telephone, take accurate messages, screen and direct telephone calls and provide general information in a professional manner. 2. Perform other duties as assigned by management Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent AND Experience: • At least 1 year of Health insurance claims adjuster/processing or claim coding experience Current License or Certification: None
