TIBCO Admin Engineer II

As the TIBCO Operations Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the Asurion claims processing platform. You will work with other technologists to ensure and regain (where required) stability and functionality across various infrastructures for support applications. As the Tibco Operations Analyst will be asked to drive the necessary changes across the Tibco environment to achieve a 99.99% level of availability both reactively and proactively. Position will require production support on-call rotation, excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate with technology leadership
  • Identifying and driving improvements
  • Ability to design, build, and implement a working ITIL operations program for Tibco products
  • Active participation in projects
  • Development of a health and hygiene program to ensure production consistency
  • Approving monitoring and operational readiness requirements
  • Oversight on system documentation including operational runbooks
  • Training peers and team on new features and support requirements
  • 24×7 production support
  • Reduce problems through proactive problem prevention activities
  • Understand and streamline processes to improve quality and speed of service

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  • Must have 5 years’ operational experience with large-scale Business Works, EMS and Hawk implementations.
  • Expert level knowledge of scripting environments and specifically PERL
  • Working knowledge of C/C , Java, and C#
  • Working knowledge of windows based systems
  • Must have working knowledge of developing production software using managed code (.Net, J2EE)
  • Working knowledge of SAN storage solutions
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies (Amazon EC2/S3, Azure)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL v3
  • Proficiency in Tibco EMS 4.x and later, Tibco Hawk 4.7 and later, Tibco EMS APIs
  • Ability to work within a fast moving environment
  • Demonstrated intellectual horsepower
  • Aggressive, motivated, results oriented, self-starter is a must.
  • Creative problem solver
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to management and customers
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both oral and written
  • Deep passion for meeting customer requirements and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Understanding of ITIL incident management, and ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause when production incidents occur
  • Demonstrated experience developing automations that eliminated recurring tasks, and a deep passion for efficiency (Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • Command line working knowledge of UNIX
