Technology Analyst 2

This role needs to be filled with a candidate that has experience associated with the development and build of new enterprise systems, the associated excitement of tight deadlines, solution solving, and strong technical knowledge. Familiarity with Cloud and AWS development, database development, PII encryption, and web services all desirable.

This position maintains service excellence through understanding and appropriately creating standards that support Asurion services and offerings. This technical analyst position, specifically relates to financial revenue recognition and contract builds based on external client sales. The position would best be served by a person with pre-existing working experience within the financial area, specifically in A/R and revenue account reconciliation. Knowledge of underwriting a plus. The position requires relationship building with both internal and external business partners and serves as a bridge between Asurion internal contacts. The professional filling this position will adhere to the Asurion Brand and enhance Asurion’s capabilities through optimization and simplification.


  • Drive and build relationships with internal customers (Pricing and A/R) through consulting-style efforts
  • Interview, collect and translate project requirements into development requirement documentation, applying practices in removing ambiguity on process and assumptions
  • Build and author system requirements related to software/applications development
  • Relationship Building with internal customers (Pricing and A/R) through consulting-style efforts
  • Process Improvement
  • Develop, communicate, and drive project deliverables and timelines
  • Manage multiple projects, as well as prioritize new request against pre-existing deliverables

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years direct exposure of AR/AP and Financial Reconciliation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking: problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to solution and present recommendations
  • General Consulting associated with revenue recognition and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of meeting etiquette: setup, manage, and lead meetings to conduct interviews and JAD sessions
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a matrix environment effectively; must be able to redirect efforts quickly and re-prioritize
  • Ability to self-direct work independently and have flexibility in team and x-matrix projects
  • Ability to deliver on deadlines without having direct reports

  • EDI working knowledge helpful
  • Knowledge of underwriting helpful
  • Exposure with B2B applications helpful (WebMethods/TIBCO)
  • Ability to write and use simple SQL queries
