The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will beresponsible for a combination of financial reporting, technical research, and operationalaccounting.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment and maintenanceof documentation for all derivative transactions, primarily throughcoordination with outsourced provider
- Appropriately account for all debt relatedactivities and document unique transactions
- Prepare and/or review multiple sets of auditedand unaudited financial statements for issuance
- Provide support and assistance to externalauditors for annual audits
- Prepare quarterly lender results package
- Review lease documents and prepare accountingschedules for any new or amended leases
- Be a key resource in transitioning to the newlease accounting standard
- Assist with technical accounting research andpreparation of memos to support accounting positions
- Establish strong working relationships with theCompany's treasury and consolidations teams as well as the external auditors
- Provide multiple alternatives for success tooperational decision makers when asked for assistance
- Be a team member on monthly close activities andensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Complete and/or review journal entries and accountreconciliations as necessary
- Enhance the documentation of key internalcontrols, processes, and procedures
- Identify best practices and create ideas forprocess improvements or automation

Qualifications:
- Proven track record of academic and professionalexcellence
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (MBA or advanceddegree is a plus)
- 2 to 5 years of related professional experience
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong technical accounting and financialreporting skills
