Web Developer 3
The Sr. Web Developer/Software Engineer 3 possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in the field of software engineering and product development as it relates to the business objectives of uBreakiFix. This position will produce and implement functional software solutions, design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. An individual reaches this level by increasing contribution in technical expertise and/or people leadership by consistently acting as a team and project lead.
Essential Functions
- Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack
- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
- Maintain and update existing websites and web apps built with MYSQL, PHP, CSS, HTML, and Javascript
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools
- Perform Code Peer Reviews & Technical Assessment of proposed solutions
- Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

Required Education and Experience
- Post-secondary certificate or Associate's degree in computer services or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5-7 years related experience required
- Advanced knowledge of PHP & MySQL
- Experience with PHP objects and classes
- Experience with MVC frameworks
- Experience in Testing Methodologies (Unit Testing, TDD, etc)
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS
- Strong experience implementing and developing API layers
- Ability to partner and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Experience with Git
- Ability to think creatively and provide out of the box solutions to problems
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer services or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Laravel
- Experience with AngularJS and/or VueJs framework
- Experience with Jira or other Agile Development Tools
