Manager of International Tax

International Tax Manager will assist with planning, compliance, provision, transfer pricing and controversy for Asurion's non-US operations. The International Tax Manager will be responsible for researching various tax issues in
developing advice to the organization on the tax implications of new programs and changes to
existing programs. Additionally, the person will be responsible for documenting the technical
tax implications of positions for inclusion in the US Federal, foreign income tax returns and
transaction tax returns. This person will also serve as a technical advisor on audit related
matters. The successful candidate will be able to succeed and thrive in a constantly evolving,
fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. Additionally, the candidate should possess
the ability to apply their technical tax skills to real-world business problems and provide
practical business solutions.

• Perform tax research and prepare tax memorandum documenting conclusions
• Monitor legislative changes domestically and internationally
• Work with cross functional team to identify and capture tax economic incentives at the
federal and international levels
• Assist management in structuring for new business opportunities, acquisitions,
dispositions, and reorganizations
• Assist in providing technical advice and factual support to ensure proper tax reporting
and accounting for income taxes to other Tax department team members
• Assist in developing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and
international laws and regulations for direct and indirect taxes
• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and international transfer pricing rules
including country by country reporting, master files, and local file in accordance with the
OECD's BEPS initiative
• Identify and document tax related contingencies for proper reporting and disclosure
• Assist other members of the tax team with special projects, reporting, and analysis
when needed
• Review Forms 5471 and 8858, as needed
• Prepare or review foreign income inclusions for tax compliance, estimates, and
quarterly provision purposes
• Assist in US and foreign tax controversy responses and management including transfer
pricing, income tax, and value added tax audits.

• Tax return compliance experience
• Advanced tax research and writing capabilities
• General understanding of basic international tax implications to US multi-nationals
• Experience with taxing authorities and dispute resolution
