Manager - Americas FP&A

The Manager of Americas Financial Planning and Analysis will fill a key role within the Finance organization. This position will support a wide range of activities including forecast consolidation and analysis for the Americas region, long-range strategic/financial planning, business scenario modeling and benchmarking, CFO/COO driven analytical requests, and presentation build and delivery. The ideal candidate will have exceptional financial competence, strong business acumen, executive presence and leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of financial analysis tools and techniques, critical-thinking proficiency, and exceptional communication skills. Direct experience with a leading consulting firm (McK, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.) viewed favorably. The candidate must be customer-centric and be able to balance the demands of a rapidly growing, complex entrepreneurial environment where ingenuity, rather than precedence, drives methodology and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver all aspects of the Americas financial forecasting, planning, analysis, and reporting deliverables (e.g., annual operating plan and monthly forecasts)
  • Support the development of the annual operating plan, including creation of materials presented to the executive team
  • Produce all materials related to monthly forecasts, including preparation of key trend observations and identification of risks & opportunities
  • Actively coordinate with functional teams to ensure alignment of plans and forecasts with leadership objectives
  • Participate in preliminary forecast review meetings, with a focus on understanding critical business trends
  • Lead annual planning meetings with functional teams, including preparation of discussion materials
  • Serve as a key resource to the Americas finance leadership team
  • Develop and present analysis highlighting financial and operational drivers while identifying opportunities areas for the business
  • Assist in developing short and long-term financial targets, including growth and cost savings initiatives
  • Play a critical role in crafting and delivering the annual operating plan
  • Oversee recurring forecasts processes, including management and communication of the forecast calendar and deliverables
  • Consolidate forecast inputs, loading finance systems, and validating accuracy
  • Prepare monthly reporting to highlight variances to plan, forecast, and other key measurements
  • Manage ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Act as a business partner to the functional finance teams
  • Work with the Americas finance teams to identify, design, and execute business and accounting solutions to complex issues
  • Support the execution of initiatives that deliver value to Asurion while ensuring that the associated benefits are driven into the P&L in a timely manner
  • Provide strategic financial leadership to the business on process enhancements that will optimize reporting and analysis
  • Serve as a champion of process improvement and optimization
  • Identify opportunities to automate related financial and operational reporting processes with the goal of driving efficiencies across the department and functions
  • Continue to drive use of Hyperion and related toolsets for financial reporting and analysis, providing guidance and teachings to the functional teams as needed
  • Oversee junior team member(s)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (Accounting/Finance major preferred), MBA viewed favorably
  • 5 years of experience in a high growth or transformational environment with similar responsibilities
  • Prior experience with a major consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte) viewed favorably
  • Hands-on management approach with ability to drive projects to conclusion
  • Demonstrated financial planning and analysis, data mining, and modeling capabilities
  • Track record of analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and independent performance
  • Strong project management skills and problem solving abilities
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Hyperion a plus
