IT Asset Management Analyst (Technology Analyst II)

The Sr. IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst will maintain responsibility for overall support and development of our IT Asset Management Process and solutions in support of our asset inventory management initiatives.

In this role, the Sr. ITAM Analyst will ensure quality and integrity of information that describes IT assets, how they are used and cost of ownership through alignment with Asurion's Enterprise IT Asset Management and Operational IMACD processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for managing Asurion's IT asset inventory including hardware, software and license compliance throughout their life-cycle. They will develop and leverage capabilities of our commercial off-the-shelf software to ensure quality of information contained within our asset inventory solutions and will place an emphasis on process automation.
• Work closely with internal customers and tool support organizations to address business and functional needs for automation of processes associated with the design and enhancement of our IT asset and inventory management solutions
• Works closely with tool product managers and developers to institute changes and enhancements to our ITAM system
• Shares information across IT and business groups
• Provide guidance and training to internal customers
• Maintains expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes
• Maintains working knowledge in the IT Asset Management processes as they relate to the acquisition and receiving of new assets
• Works closely with Configuration Management personnel to ensure quality and integrity of information supplied by the ITAM system
• Provides effective and high-quality customer service to internal Asurion customers
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with a wide range of Asurion associates across multiple disciplines
• Identifies and implements process improvements with measurable results
• Develops various communications such as job aids, guidelines, policies, etc. to improve the overall customer experience and provide a self-service business model

Competencies Required:

• Demonstrated ability to use a Microsoft Windows based computer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and use a web browser to access information and tools
• Must be a team oriented individual with excellent communication skills and an ability to interact with a wide range of associates in various organizational disciplines
• Experience using asset management tools to store, track, manage and produce reports on asset inventory
• Experience working with development teams and project managers to identify, develop and maintain process automation solutions
• Experience with commercial software products used for IT Asset Management, automated asset discovery and business/functional requirement management

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
• 5-7 years' experience as an Asset Management Analyst within an IT organization
• Detailed understanding of IT Asset Management principles and processes

• Experience with one or more industry-leading IT Asset Management tool suites
• Skilled in identifying, communicating and resolving business problems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of asset reporting tools and capabilities
• Experience designing, developing and implementing processes, standard operating procedures and tools
• Managing end-user accounts for accessing the systems
• Ability to produce and maintain training documentation and media such as screen capture video
• Experience conducting requirements analysis activities to identify criteria process automation, tool enhancements and customer demand
• Ability to work closely with key stakeholders to ensure effective receiving of assets, management of available inventory and best practices for disposal of company assets
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize and communicate project statuses to internal customers and stakeholders

Recommended Skills, Abilities and Certifications:

• ServiceNow ITAM experience is highly desirable

• CITAM or CSAM certification

• ITIL V3 Foundation certification
