Insurance Licensing Coordinator

Asurion is currently looking for an Insurance Licensing Coordinator in the Nashville, TN area. The Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for the licensing of Asurion associates in multiple states and a variety of license types.The Licensing Coordinator will demonstrate subject-matter expertise in the areas of Property and Casualty Producer and Independent Adjuster licensing, as well as a broader understanding of Asurion's business model and the role of the licensing team to our overall success. The Licensing Coordinator will work under the direction of the Licensing Supervisor; the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively under tight deadlines is critical to success in this role. The Licensing Coordinator is part of the Licensing Department within the Regulatory/Legal Department.


  • Prepare non-resident producer and adjuster applications
  • Process fingerprint cards, obtain necessary documentation to accompany applications
  • Communicate, consult and correspond with all state insurance department personnel
  • Maintain internal database including tracking of license renewals, CE, personal information, and fees
  • Handle Insurance License renewals for Property/Casualty Producers and Independent Adjusters
  • Coordinate set-up of pre-licensing classes and scheduling of insurance exams
  • Assist Licensing Team with projects as assigned
  • Protects the agency, individuals and licenses from fines and revocations
  • Safeguards personal data and respect the confidentiality of all licensed associates


  • College degree preferred
  • 1-3 years insurance licensing experience required
  • Insurance/regulatory industry background (e.g., working with property and casualty producers, agencies, warranty registrations, secretary of state reports, or adjusters)
  • Willingness to build expertise in all areas of insurance and service contract licensing
  • Proficiency with Excel; experience with SharePoint preferred
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail, strong judgment, confidence and collaborative problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to schedule and prioritize work and deliverables to ensure on-time response to a large variety of changing demands & requirements
  • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret instructions, documents and regulations
  • Demonstrates flexibility, composure and nimble-thinking when business conditions or goals change
  • Highly organized and digs for detailed understanding to thoroughly comprehend the issues and implications of potential actions and solutions
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with business colleagues and external partners
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • No Insurance License necessary
