Director, ClientOnline Marketing

The Client Online Director oversees a professional teamtasked with improving Asurion's Client's Online efficacy. The Client OnlineDirector and team will advise both Asurion's Retail and Mobility clients onbest practices for improving traffic, conversion/attach rates and the customerexperience. The Client Online Director will also serve as the primary internalchampion for informing and prioritizing Asurion online projects to improveclient online efficacy. The Client Online Director will work closely with theClient Services (i.e., Sales) and the Marketing teams to prepare and presentClient presentations and will work closely with the IT, Online, and OnlineMarketing teams to lift Asurion's online capabilities in concert with Clientefforts.

Key JobResponsibilities: The Client Online Director will create a strategyto improve Clients' online utilization to boost sales, reduce costs, improvetechnical help and improve the overall customer experience. Specifictasks envisioned to achieve this objective are:

  • Drive improvements in online utilization that translate into bottom-line results for Asurion's Clients (Higher Sales, Lower Costs, Better Customer Experience)
  • Develop a testing roadmap and oversee a portfolio of online tests, conducted with clients, aimed at developing and proving out Best Practices
  • Track all A/B and Multivariate protection plan tests across all Mobility and Retail Clients
  • Regularly investigate innovations in online conversion and research/benchmark other industries for best practices
  • Oversee knowledge management efforts to distribute Best Practice findings to key stakeholders
  • Work with Clients to develop Customer Segmentation based conversion strategies utilizing traffic source, pathing, and other identifying characteristics of the shopper
  • Be the Asurion SME (subject matter expert) in Client pitches and discussions
  • Write white papers and maintain a blog and other pertinent social media presences to be viewed as an industry expert in selling/provisioning protection products online
  • Champion key internal Asurion Online/App Development projects to maximize synergy with Client Online upgrades
  • Recommend budget allocations to drive above agenda


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years experience in online, e-commerce or e-commerce/online consulting
  • Online or Marketing experience with big box retailers or carriers is a plus
  • MBA in Marketing or other pertinent advanced degree preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of an online business
  • Strategic thinking, detail orientation, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively in-house and externally with multiple stakeholders, with strong influence/persuasion skills
  • Results-oriented, motivated contributor who brings passion and an intrinsic drive to succeed; remains cool under the pressure
  • Working knowledge of the primary web analytics platforms and content management systems. Also up to date on the latest measurement techniques and KPIs.
  • Conversant in the trade-offs between eligible abandonment and protection plan conversion
  • Conversant in the latest traffic generation techniques, knowledgeable of the primary traffic sources and key trends, knowledgeable of the latest SEM/SEO techniques and retargeting methodologies
  • First hand experience in traffic generation and online A/B or multivariate testing preferred
  • Must be willing to travel 10% to 20% of the time to meet with Clients
