Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manage r is a non-attorney role within Asurion's Legal Regulatory Team and has responsibility to ensure the company maintains ongoing compliance with laws and regulations governing handset and other portable electronic device insurance, service contracts, and ancillary products and services in all jurisdictions in which Asurion conducts business. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will assist with international product analysis, and contribute to the Regulatory team's education, direction and collaboration with Asurion colleagues across departments in an effort to provide clients with compliant solutions to business and program questions and enforce company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a pro-active learner with excellent issue spotting skills with the knowledge and ability to follow through to resolve such issues .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Review of letter drafts prior to going to clients or underwriters Develop understanding of product offerings in mobility and retail in the US and foreign entities Establish strong collaborative relationships with cross functional team, including underwriting, finance, marketing and product development Have functional understanding of the company's claim systems and systems that surround the claims process (POM, DAX, outgoing emails, etc.) including clearly articulating core principles and legal or regulatory constraints that must be satisfied Have functional understanding of the company's risk profile and the impact of product decisions on the company's core financial performance Actively seek operational understanding and implications of initiatives


QUALIFICATIONS
    Four-year college degree Aptitude and motivation for staying current with regulatory changes in insurance, service contract, and consumer protection regulations Able to understand detailed documents and effectively communicate information to others Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with business colleagues, clients and outside counsel Able to keep multiple projects and initiatives organized and moving forward in a fast-paced environment Possesses strong judgment, confidence, collaborative problem solving skills, and the ability to spot potential issues quickly Schedules and prioritizes work and deliverables to ensure on-time response to large variety of changing demands/requests/requirements Professional interpersonal and organizational skills, and experienced at communicating with colleagues at various levels of the organization Previous technology experience will be considered a plus Legal research and analysis training or experience a plus Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and usage of the Internet
