Product Manager (Pulp)

The Product Manager is expected to:

Support safe work standards

Recommend annual Product Line goals

Deliver product ideas with prioritized features and corresponding justification

Develop the core positioning and trial management plans for the product

Responsible for roll out and implementation of new processes and policies regarding products

Responsible for ensuring that accurate technical/customer information is communicated internally to assure trial successes

Perform product presentations to customers

Recommend product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

Deliver an annual revenue forecast for focus products

Develop sales tools, references and training on focus products

Be an expert with respect to the competition

Coach and train the sales force at regular sales meetings and contacts

Ensure that technical properties of product portfolio meet market demands while maximizing benefits for manufacturing

Participate actively in the product rationalization and its timely implementation

Participate in the selling, budgeting and manufacturing forecasting of the product segment

Participate in the implementation and upkeep of the selling process

Participate in the creation of the advertising and promotional programs around the product line.

Acts as a bridge between the field and CIT regarding field problems and their resolution

Requirements:

Technical background, with experience in pulp and or press fabric manufacturing

Three plus years of experience as a Product Manager/Marketing and or Sales

Five plus years of experience in a job in technical markets

Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's degree (science/engineering preferred)

Excellent teamwork skills

Able to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Must be able to travel 50% of the time

Reporting Relationships:

Line: Global Business Leader/P&I

Coordination: Works with field base associates, Product Business leaders, sales and marketing management, New and Advanced product developments, Sales, Strategic Business Development, Marketing, Inside Sales, Product Management Team, Manufacturing.

No supervisor responsibilities.
