Introduction to the Job
ASML, a market leader in semiconductor lithography equipment, is looking to fill the role of Project Leader/Main Delivery Owner (MDO) within the Mechatronics Department in Wilton, Connecticut. You will be responsible for team leadership, execution and reporting for the development and delivery of large, highly complex, mechatronic systems.
You will also be part of the larger Development and Engineering (DE) sector - where the design and engineering of ASML products happens.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Main Delivery Owner in Mechatronics, you will:
- Lead multi-disciplined, development team of ~ 10 Engineers to ensure in-spec, on time, delivery
- Align and interface frequently with internal resources and suppliers in the US, Taiwan and Europe
- Create project plans (e.g. schedule, resources, material requirements, etc.) with assistance from Project Leadership
- Define deliverables for mechatronic engineers and integration related activities for qualification
- Lead the internal team's daily activities on building, qualifying, testing and troubleshooting
- Organize, plan and host multiple workshops between suppliers and ASML employees
- Align with cross-sectors on regular basis to ensure on time delivery
- Communicate upward and downward on regular basis
- Understand proper escalation paths and acts accordingly
- Delegate tasks and follow up by tracking to completion
- Manage system and team interdependencies
- Properly manage impact of changes of your system to the total machine
- Relevant knowledge in one engineering discipline (mono or multi)
- Manage design and program risks as well as program requirements
- Drive and lead the team to complete their deliverables while presenting and highlighting pertinent information to key stakeholders
- Candidate is able to assess and address technical risk based on input of architects and design engineers
- Agile and SAFe experience is a plus in effectively leading the team
- Some travel (up to 10%) within the US and internationally can be expected

Education and Experience
To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you will need experience working on high-tech products and with complex processes.
As a MDO, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar Engineering degree
- 2+ years or experience in a team leadership role
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a mechanical and/or mechatronics/robotics intensive environment
- Previous experience within the semiconductor industry or precision engineering field preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good planning and analytical skills, ability to lead multifunctional teams
- Proven success in team or task management
- Able to "lead", not just, "manage" a team
- Takes initiative by showing strong ownership and commitment
- Clear decision maker and well-organized
- Ability to multitask and make quick priority calls on a daily basis

Other Information
- This position is located on-site in Wilton, Connecticut. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation
- A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to 2 days a week)
