Systems Administrator

Asana is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our IT Team and oversee our system and network operations at our global offices.  You will be primarily responsible for owning, maintaining, and building our corporate data networks to a high level of reliability, at all our global offices, as well as providing support and training for the IT Team.
  1. Administration and maintenance of IT SaaS applications
  2. Manage Asana’s corporate data networks, including support/troubleshooting administration, maintenance, design, and deployment
  3. Maintain network performance via monitoring, analysis and performance tuning
  4. Document and maintain processes/procedures for IT applications
  5. Work with applications such as: G Suite, Asana, Slack, JAMF Pro, Meraki, Dropbox, Salesforce, Adobe Creative Cloud, GoToMeeting, 1password for teams
  6. Manage Dialpad VOIP system
  7. Maintain our JAMF Pro MDM solution
  8. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  9. Troubleshoot SysAdmin problems; escalate problems to vendors when necessary
  10. Propose and implement enhancements that will improve performance, reliability, and scalability
  11. Provide Level 2 & 3 support to IT Team for network issues.
  12. Provide training to IT Team to enhance networking skill-set.
  13. Travel as needed to global offices
  14. Support Meraki cloud-hosted networking and appliances
  15. Review logs, diagnose problems, and provide solutions
  16. Hardware installation and maintenance, including lifting up to 50lbs to heights of up to 6ft.
Experience and Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years System and Network admin experience
  2. Strong project management, troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills
  3. Knowledge of Cisco Meraki networking equipment and software
  4. Experience deploying and supporting secure enterprise wireless networks
  5. Advanced knowledge of networking terms, models, and protocols (including: OSI, TCP/IP, OSPF, VPN, IPv4 & IPv6, 802.1x, 802.1Q, Spanning-Tree, SSL, QoS, DNS, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, RADIUS, etc).
  6. Advanced knowledge of Network Security, including firewall configuration and IPS experience
  7. Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments
  8. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple problems and issues with minimal supervision
  9. Exhibit a teamwork approach, but are able to act independently to solve problems when necessary
  10. Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion
  11. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills
