SEM Manager

To help power our next wave of growth, we’re looking for an experienced and analytical SEM Manager to drive new user acquisition across key European markets.

As the EMEA SEM Manager, you will be responsible for strategizing and executing paid search campaigns to acquire Asana users efficiently and at scale. With a primary focus on the UK, Ireland, France, and Germany, you will lead the development, localization, and optimization of search marketing campaigns across Asana’s European target markets. You will partner closely with our Dublin-based EMEA Acquisition Lead as well as our various marketing teams in San Francisco.


  • Work to continuously optimize the efficiency and scale of our EMEA campaigns across search channels
  • Work with our EMEA agency to ensure that their campaigns delivery on defined KPIs efficiently and effectively
  • Build a pipeline of paid search experiments that you will launch and measure
  • Assess opportunities for keyword, geographic, language and channel expansion
  • Partner with other members of the global Acquisition team to implement full-funnel user acquisition strategies localized for EMEA markets
  • Build out paid search reporting to monitor performance and identify areas of opportunity
  • Collaborate with Asana’s Web Development team to build landing pages that optimize the post-click experience
  • Support the broader Marketing team on new initiatives and product launches



  • 4+ years of search marketing experience in the UK, Ireland, France, and/or Germany
  • Deep expertise in the tactics of paid search
  • Proficiency with all major search engines (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Yahoo)
  • Familiarity with tech and tools in the paid search ecosystem (brand monitoring, bidding tools)
  • Experience launching and optimizing campaigns in multiple languages
  • Strong data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with confidence


  • Experience working in SaaS
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Familiarity with a freemium or self-serve business model
