People Operations Partner, International
We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented senior Operations Professional to support our international workforce through complex and often sensitive moments, located in our fast growing Warsaw office This role is a key in-house HR position responsible for ensuring compliance with Polish employment law, managing employee leaves and accommodations, lifecycle processes, and serving as the main point of contact for both employees and local authorities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of human resources, international compliance, leave laws, accommodations, and workers’ compensation, and the related regulatory requirements in the EMEA and APJ regions, and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. Key Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for all local leaves, accommodations, and workers’ compensation, including but not limited to case management, employee communications, and vendor management.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle Internationally, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation.
- Manage and facilitate on the ground employee lifecycle events in our Warsaw, Poland office, including new hire orientations and employee offboardings.
- Develop HR technology/process understanding and capability; leverage Workday to build and maintain processes and workflows (e.g. international terminations, internal transfers, payroll requirements, etc.)
- Own complex ad hoc projects and programs that support specific country requirements
- Maintain and update employee personnel files (teczki osobowe) in compliance with Polish labor and GDPR requirements.
- Manage external vendors
- Be a trusted partner with global and regional HR teams to implement HR policies, benefits, and Workday process updates.
- Support Asana People Operations programs and HR regulatory/employment law knowledge base
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of HR experience, preferably in an in-house HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Proficiency in international leave, accommodation, and workers’ compensation compliance
- Proven understanding of employment law, social security, and local HR documentation standards in EMEA and APAC, with required experience in Poland; experience in Germany and Japan preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication on English, proficiency in Polish a preferred.
- Experience collaborating with global organizations and cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, process ownership, and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems.
- Prior involvement in HR automation or process improvement projects.
- Exposure to international HR operations (e.g., UK, Ireland, or APAC) is a plus.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 21,000 - 23,800 PLN. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
