Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer (Computer Solutions)

At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer (Computer Solutions) in our Minneapolis, MN location.

As a Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer, you will provide technical solutions design expertise to Arrow Electronics, Inc. customers and Field Sales representatives in their direct selling efforts. As a technical resource, you will assist both customers and sales staff in assessing Arrow’s potential customer’s application requirements and identify which of our suppliers’ products meet customer needs. The SA will prepare detailed product solutions to support customer design requirements. This position combines product management expertise and QMS /quality engineering knowledge to assist consultants with the development and roll out of new services to meet customer requirements. You will need to be able to provide analysis of product inter-functionality and troubleshoot potential areas that do not meet customer expectations, manufacturability, and quality requirements. You will conduct product presentations, demonstrations and provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.


  • 5-7 years in a design engineering or technical sales in a customer facing role
  • 5 years of field technical support, design and troubleshooting experience
  • Presentation and training skills
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and associated peripherals.


  • EE/CS/IT degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of current business, communication, applications, and infrastructure technologies
  • Experience in one or more of Arrow target vertical markets such as Medical, Telecom, or Industrial Automation
  • Understanding and knowledge of systems integration
