Summary:

This IT infrastructure position will be responsible for the daily administration support for all Voice/ Video systems used throughout North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical administration support for all voice systems located throughout North America
  • Programming, configuration, and setup of telephone sets and adjunct equipment, feature buttons, coverage paths, speed dials, hunt groups, call-pickup groups, attendant console changes, etc.
  • Creating, maintaining, and deleting of voicemail subscriber accounts
  • Coordination with outside vendors to complete Telecom MAC and wiring requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare system standards and process documentation
  • Maintain a high standard for customer support
  • Maintain a positive attitude, and project a high level of professionalism
  • Day to day setup and support of video conference calls
  • Obtaining quotes, processing POs and invoice as needed
  • Cost savings research and analysis
  • Provide periodic on-call support during non-business hours

Requirements:

  • Minimum of (2-4) years of job related experience with an understanding of Telecommunications fundamentals
  • Proficient in the administration, maintenance and support for All Avaya’s PBX / Voice Mail platforms
  • Experience in administering the Octel 250 / 350 voice-messaging platform
  • Candidate should be proficient with cross-connect wiring and punch downs
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and organizational skills
  • Light to medium travel required at times
  • Willingness to respond quickly when on-call and working on projects after-hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Avaya PBX and Octel voice messaging certifications and/or experience supporting other vendor’s platforms would be considered a definite plus
  • Polycom Video Systems experience. Knowledge of the Polycom Real Presents and the RMX 200 systems would be considered a plus.
  • Avaya call center administration and routing skills considered a plus
  • Proficient in using Excel, Power Point and Visio. Microsoft Project would be considered a plus
  • Experience with Voice Over IP deployments and related technologies would be considered a plus
