Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities

● Responsible for the day-to-day functions of Logistics or Value Add department(s), ensuring goals are met or exceeded within warehouse operation including Receiving, Production, Inventory storage, and Shipping.

● Ability to manage personnel - hiring, developing, workflow scheduling and resource allocation for more than one department/functional area and/or technical production within a business group. Strategic planning and process improvement thru CPI or Lean principles.

● Ensures performance of department goals, including allocation of headcount and process improvements to analyze and improve efficiency. Responds to internal and external customer inquiries. Participates in making basic improvement enhancements.

● Responsible for performance efficiency, time worked, quality reporting and improvement, performance metrics. Works with manager to determine courses of action for budgetary responsibility.

● Trains and acts as an informal mentor to junior members of supervisory staff. Assists level 1 Supervisors in developing the technical skills necessary to make informed decisions.

● Other duties as assigned.

Job Complexity

● Responsible for oversight to evening crew, 2nd shift operation, working 3:00PM to 12:00AM, Monday through Friday. May be required to work overtime as necessary with shift to ensure optimal performance to budgeted departmental goals.

● Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team, including oversight of inbound scheduling and receiving of electronics, production department that specializes in the diagnostics, repair/refurb/upgrade and data destruction of electronics, and storage or resale of electronics to end customer.

● Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors

● Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager

● Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised

● Accountable for the results of medium-sized routine support or production operations teams, including staff of up to 30 associates within various warehouse roles that include material handlers, forklift drivers, electronic repair/bench technicians, inventory control, order picking/shipping associates.

● Solves problems based on practice and precedent

● Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations

Experience / Education

● Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.

● Prior experience working in fast-paced warehouse with production/distribution operations preferred.

● Experienced with CompTIA A+ or equivalent computer hardware/software certification highly desired.

Job Requirements

● Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience, overseeing 20 to 30 direct reports

● Prior experience working in fast-paced warehouse with production/distribution operations preferred.

● CompTIA A+ or equivalent computer hardware/software certification highly desired.

● MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiency

● Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal production rates and client satisfaction KPI's are achieved.

● Must be detail oriented and have strong customer service skills

● Able to stand and walk for a full 8 hour shift, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously

● Ability to work overtime as needed and be flexible with shift changes.

● Must be comfortable working in warehouse environment, subject to area weather extremes both cold and hot.

● Forklift driving experience preferred

● Must be able to provide supervision, training, and development of facility employees and temporary staff.
