Software Development Manager/.Net Team Leader

Job Description:

A hands-on development manager is required to lead a team of experienced web developers, to build and maintain high quality enterprise applications that support the business and its customers.

You would work closely with the Product Owner and department head to assess and prioritise the task backlog.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of experienced .Net developers to build feature rich business applications.
  • Review and refine existing coding and architecture ensuring industry standards are followed
  • Ensure that all code that is created contains correct and adequate level of documentation
  • Coach the team to achieve technical excellence
  • Refine and adhere to agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and consistency within development processes by adopting the role of Agile Coach
  • Software architecture
  • Line management of development team

Key skills should include:
  • Minimum 5 years previous team management experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Agile software development targeted toward frequent, high-quality releases
  • Knowledge and experience of web-based applications with an emphasis on C#, ASP. NET Core, MVC6, MS SQL, HTML 4/5, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design.
  • Full stack development, with strong knowledge of front end development methodologies
  • Understanding of process and automation involved with software quality assurance and testing and the ability to implement and improve it

Desirable skills and experience in:
  • Test Driven Development
  • Continuous Integration
  • Scrum Master experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Umbraco development
