Quality Assurance Specialist

Ensure stakeholder requirements have been met and implemented correctly for our API platform. Generate, execute and maintain automated test scripts to ensure high reliability and quality. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and critical thinking skills as well an ability to think outside of the box.

We mix up responsibilities, never allowing our team members to become siloed, and are always exploring the latest technologies. We’re looking for a team member who wants to work hard, find innovative solutions, learn more about the leading edge of web technology, and see results in real-world applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze requirements and perform quality assurance tests on implemented functionality.
  • Participate in the release planning and scoping processes that determine the product roadmap.
  • Author detailed test case scenarios.
  • Create automated testing framework to use against APIs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and complete work on time.
  • Not afraid to ask questions and engage developers when issues are discovered.
  • Excellent documentation skills in authoring test scripts and use cases for continuous quality assurance.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting capability and the ability to drive issues to resolution.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience working within a quality assurance and/or customer relations role where analysis and understanding of the business was required.
  • Experience working with issue management systems such as JIRA.
  • Some programming experience is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable working within a small, dynamic company environment.
  • Experience working with software developers and communicating discovered issues to them.
