Position:Product Asset Manager
The Product Asset Manager is the liaison/interface between Arrow's suppliers and Arrow sales teams. The main purpose of the position is to develop, grow and leverage the influential supplier relationships in order to negotiate competitive pricing to increase sales and gross profit dollars, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. The Product Asset Manager will provide information to our sales team including pricing, delivery, part level details, and cross reference options. The Product Asset Manager is tasked with executing on clean business initiatives and driving margin enhancement opportunities. This position will execute all aspects of the Business Unit Plan to exceed Return on Inventory goals.
Analyze line items to determine appropriate pricing model. Return quotes with details, including mins/mults, NCNR, delivery, pricing, and special restrictions. Make resale recommendations based on market knowledge. Identify and action purchase order reschedules, cancellations and purchasing products to authorized levels. Manage inventory availability levels to established goals. Support product allocation process at a device and customer level. Work with sales team on developing strategies to successfully win customer quotes. Implement strategic supplier focused programs and provide updates to the sales team. Strategically drive profitability through constant communication with external suppliers and sales teams through inventory management. Strong knowledge of market conditions in order to create a competitive advantage. Sound financial knowledge to achieve Return on Working Capital (ROWC) goals through implementation of technology plans. Determine inventory forecasts at the device level and effectively achieve correct inventory mix. Reconcile errors with suppliers, product accounting, and sales teams. Drive RGP margin enhancement opportunities by utilizing available tools. Other actions and programs as deemed necessary by management.
The successful candidate will have experience in the cable assembly and / or data center market. We require an innovative thinker who will drive solution sales through the cable assembly initiative at Arrow. This individual will be responsible for custom interconnect and cable assembly solutions, design, and third party sourcing. He / She will work with our cable assembly team to drive the cable assembly strategy by gathering market trends and customer input. An entrepreneurial spirit is required to develop cradle to grave solutions. This job model provides a broad experience in a challenging environment while having a direct impact on company performance.
- Experience in the cable assembly and / or data center market
- Background in product management, purchasing, or inside sales
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to build and maintain internal/external professional relationships with suppliers, reps and sales personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- 4 – 7 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Full understanding of financial metrics.
