Principal Security Architect
Position:Principal Security Architect
At present, we have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Principle Security Architect to join our Corporate Information Technology team in Denver (Centennial), CO.
The Principal Security Architect is a senior member of the Information Security organization and will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is a hybrid of roles stemming from the following: technologist, researcher, consultant, and partner supporting the Line of Business CIO in driving security solutions throughout his/her organization.
Develops functional and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture.
Serves as a security expert in systems development, platform (OS /Database) and web technologies; support project teams in complying with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations and best practices.
Researches, designs and advocates for new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy.
Evaluates and develops secure solutions, based on approved security principles and patterns; Analyzes business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks.
Communicates security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff.
Develops metrics that demonstrate current risk state, indicators of progress, and business alignment for those activities.
10+ years of overall information security experience
5+ years functional experience with IS security architecture and security principles, approaches, and technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a discipline which compliments the role or equivalent experience
Experience with relevant enterprise architecture methodology (Zachman Framework, TOGAF etc).
Knowledge of a security-specific architecture methodology (e.g. SABSA).
Active industry recognized certifications such as: CISSP, CIPP, CISA etc.
