Position:Pre Sales Consultant

Job Description:

Provide general help, presales and technical support to Arrow ECS customers.

Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not restricted to:

  • Answering technical inquiries received via phone, email and voicemail
  • Provide pre-sales support to internal and external sales personnel
  • Present ARROW ECS products in front of both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Identify cross selling opportunities
  • Be pro-active in investigation of possible cross selling opportunities
  • Installation at customer site of ARROW ECS products for evaluation
  • Setting up meetings and visiting existing/potential customers
  • Provide technical training to ARROW ECS' partners
  • Creation and distribution of reports following customer visits
  • Pro-active evaluation of products not distributed by ARROW ECS
  • Competitive analysis. Compare and advise on products operating in ARROW ECS' arena
  • Become certified trainer in order to deliver official training

Skills Required

  • Strong Networking and Security skill set, ideally knowledge of Intel Security, but will consider other equivalent product experience
  • Strong understanding if IT security including routing and IP addressing

Experience Required

  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly is essential
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in a busy customer orientated department either face-to-face or by phone
  • Good communication skills - interpersonal, both telephone and written
  • Initiative and resourcefulness
  • Team player approach

Hours of Work

The company's standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch, however due to the nature of this role flexibility will be required in order to meet the needs of the role. In addition this role is externally facing and therefore there will be the expectation that you will be required to travel upwards of 50% of the time.
