We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Materials Planner to join our Sales Support team in our Atlanta, GA office. In support of Arrow’s joint venture with Marubun, Japan’s largest independent semiconductor distributor, the Materials Planner will direct and plan pipeline inventory to meet customer demands, proactively review backlogs and partner with Suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products. The preferred candidate possesses superior time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities ensuring customer demands are met while building and maintaining internal relationships with the Sales Team as well as Suppliers and customers effectively managing customer experience and delivery date expectations.

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and manage product pipelines using purchase orders, e-Compass and customer MRP’s
  • Manage bonded and restrictive inventory of product pipelines
  • Interface with suppliers on basic delivery scheduling/expediting of customer backlogs
  • Effectively communicate product availability and delivery times with internal sales staffs
  • Monitor inventory turnover to meet financial goals
  • Prepare inventory reports and forecasts in e-Compass to manage inventory levels


  • College degree or equivalent technical training and experience
  • 2-4 years experience with MRP Planning and asset management
  • Strategic thinking and able to execute a detailed plan to produce efficient and profitable solutions
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to create influential relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to understand and evaluate metrics
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Value added solution-selling experience
  • Prior experience with Electronic Distribution
  • Automotive Industry experience is a plus
