immixGroup seeks an entry-level Marketing Coordinator to assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns on behalf of the company and its clients. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Industry Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will contribute to a variety of campaigns while learning the inner workings of a successful B2B/B2G marketing organization and developing proficiency with commercial marketing platforms and tools.

The ideal candidate is an engaging self-starter and problem-solver who is very detail-oriented, goal-oriented, professional, adaptive, and a team player. This is an excellent opportunity for a sharp, self-motivated individual to learn best practices for marketing technology products and services to the government and industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving attendance to events through business-to-business and business-to-government marketing campaigns including e-mail, Web, phone, social media, etc.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for events and campaigns
  • Engineer and produce government-facing webinars on behalf of immixGroup clients.
  • Create email campaign and landing page assets
  • Manage campaign setup and phone call/lead distribution in immixGroup’s CRM system.
  • Assist in the research, cleanup, and development of databases and marketing lists
  • Assist with the layout, production, and maintenance of corporate marketing collateral and PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordinate public relations activities including press releases, online announcements, and management of immixGroup’s media database
  • Provide logistical support for immixGroup’s event center
  • Assist with corporate Website content updates

Position Requirements:

  • 0–2 years combined experience in events, promotions, or direct marketing roles – must at least have internship experience
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related area

Highly-Desired Attributes:

  • Comfortable interacting with technology professionals and government employees in person and over the phone
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with an orientation towards strong customer service
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of the IT industry and/or Federal government agencies is a plus
  • Comfortable with marketing automation systems and Website platforms – HTML a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
