Job Description:
Principal Accountabilities

  • The Market Intelligence Analyst III develops deep expertise pertaining to a particular set of technologies (such as IT security, data management, business applications, network infrastructure, etc.) and specific customer territories, while fostering relationships with major technology manufacturers to strengthen relationships between supplier and Arrow
  • The Market Intelligence Analyst III also leads a team of indirect reports; maintaining equitable workloads and ensuring professional development across the team
  • Supplements primary and secondary research with data provided by junior staff to draw meaningful conclusions about technology trends that can be of value to suppliers, partners, and internal staff
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business value is being derived from Market Intelligence deliverables.
  • Develops and delivers original content to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates proficient public speaking abilities where audience sizes may vary dramatically from 2 to 1,000 people
  • Proactively takes ownership of a specific group of technologies, customers, and/or territories to develop a deep level of expertise and leads efforts to put that expertise to meaningful use

Experience / Education
  • Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree
  • We are looking for a motivated, personable, business-savvy candidate with experience working with diverse data sets
  • The ideal candidate will have had experience consulting with internal and external stakeholders on a number of topics including opportunity identification, budget analysis, forecasting, trend analysis, etc
  • The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing budget documents, legislation, policy, and programmatic data to identify new sales opportunities
  • Experience working in a sales environment with business development and capture personnel is a plus
  • Ability to make connections and draw meaningful conclusions from sometimes unclear data is a must, as is the ability to clearly articulate recommendations on sales activities based on data analysis

Additional Job Description
  • We are looking for a personable, curious, and insightful Senior level Market Intelligence Analyst who has had experience with research and analysis and working with large amounts of data
  • The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with data analytics, statistical analysis, and have an interest in data science
  • The ideal candidate will have experience creating data models/data frameworks from the ground up to achieve actionable business outcomes
  • Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Stata, R, Alteryx, Tableau, and other big data/analytics tools highly preferred
  • Ability to draw prescriptive insights from unstructured data and level of comfort with nearest neighbor algorithms and/or k-means clustering
  • Comfortable implementing machine learning algorithms to recommend business actions
  • The ideal candidate will have worked in a sales environment, helping turn seemingly worthless data into actionable insights to accelerate the sales cycle of software, hardware, and electronic components manufacturers
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and participate in several cross functional teams (including sales, marketing, finance, technology, business intelligence, data integrity, etc) is highly preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have worked in the software/hardware and components industries with major manufacturers, resellers, distributors, systems integrators, and defense contractors in the past
