Maintenance Technician II

Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment including: Powered roller conveyor, Fork Lifts, Reach Trucks, HDD Shredders, Conveyor belts, Pallet wrappers, Banders, Air compressors, etc.
  • Acting as the primary responder for all facility building & equipment needs.
  • Identify and source parts through Arrow's internal procurement team.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Tracking and maintaining preventative maintenance records for the facility.
  • Restroom maintenance including: sink, faucet, toilet, electronic paper towel installation and repair.
  • Working with production and industrial engineering to support process improvements and layout changes.
  • Performing basic MS Office functions and works with MS Outlook sending emails.
  • Coordinating with 3rd party vendors for repairs and parts

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of electrical diagnostic techniques and experience with electrical wiring
  • 2-4 years related experience in a maintenance technician role
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus some technical training.
  • Proven multi-tasking & prioritization experience in a fast paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the proper & safe use of both power and hand tools.
  • High comfort level with all aspects of safety for light machinery & conveyor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple demands from all levels of the organization and to work on a team with shared responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and high accountability.
  • Basic analytical problem solving & troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to lift 50 Lbs and carry for 50 feet.
  • Ability to climb to the top of an access staircase & crawl under low-clearance conveyor.
  • Ability to work all production shifts with advanced notice and a high level of availability for Saturday overtime.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of additional technical specialty areas (i.e. Machinist, Carpentry, Conveyors, Plumbing, PLC Programming, welding, HVAC, lifts, automotive, etc.)
  • Forklift certification and experience.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance or formal vocational training.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints (including electrical schematics).
  • Experience with the execution of preventative maintenance software & activities.
