With international shipments constantly coming in and out of our locations you will be a key supporter for the compliance and trade team to ensure regulations are followed and administration is up to date. The position will be based at our office in Houten, NL and you will report directly to the Manager for Global Trade Management and Compliance, who is based at our Arrow office in Neu-Isenburg, Germany.

What you are going to do

  • Determine and assign local export/import country and U.S. license requirements to orders blocked within trade compliance software for trade control reasons
  • When necessary, escalate orders to regional department Manager or Program Manager, or regional department leader for guidance
  • Process global supply chain partner reviews, including reviews of current government restricted/denied parties list matches to confirm the decision for partner release or to block within trade compliance software, Customer End Use and Export Compliance Certifications (EUC), End User Statements, etc.
  • When necessary, escalate partners to regional department Manager or Program Manager, or regional department leader for guidance
  • Provide shipment clearance instructions on import/export transactions to internal and external contacts
  • When necessary, engage regional department Manager or Program Manager, or regional department leader for guidance, or shipping department representatives for support
  • Provide trade management and compliance support and guidance regarding current laws and regulations to internal entities and contacts

What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate is organized and able to multi-task while keeping in line with trade import/export regulations and deadlines. You will support the EMEA Compliance License Team in the field of License Management and specific Customer Controls for Arrow Global Businesses.

  • Strong capability in reading, listening, analysis, and interpretation of written and spoken processes, instructions, reports, and regulations.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (near Native level) while have a third language being a large plus (Russian, French, German)
  • Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Minimum 2-year degree with 2-4 years of work experience or High school graduate with equivalent related experience
  • You are self-reliant, and a self-starter with the ability to deal with challenging situations
