Job Description:

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

Commercial

  • Work to establish Arrow as the customers preferred supplier
  • Meet targets
  • Optimise product mix and identify new opportunities jointly, with Field Sales
  • Actively seek new customers and new business opportunities within the existing market
  • Communicate proactively and use all available resources to maximize return and ensure smooth operations with regard to speed, accuracy and cost effectiveness
  • Through fact-based analysis and customer knowledge, work out account strategies and plans together with Field Sales, based on greatest opportunities for growth
  • Frequent meetings with Account Manager on assigned customers to agree appropriate actions and execute on these
  • Internal ownership for customer satisfaction, on time delivery* and quality standards
  • Utilize all available tools to work as efficiently as possible
  • Proactively search for relevant knowledge and information
  • Participate in relevant business related training and stay updated of business and industry evolution
  • Maintain the integrity of Customer Master Data jointly, with Finance and Field Sales

Profitability

  • Understand the impact of market conditions on margin and react accordingly
  • Use all current tools and procedures to maintain and maximise margin

Customer Service/Operational

  • Seamless order transition, ensuring initial and continuing accuracy of data
  • Manage upload/import of customer forecast file and complete detailed validation of forecast exceptions, communicating both forecast accuracy and service issues *
  • Work with other Arrow departments to exceed customer delivery expectations*
  • Maintain regular communication with the Field Sales with regard to inventory levels, forecast accuracy and delivery issues *
  • Jointly with Field Sales implement price changes as appropriate and maintain accurate price files

Supply Chain

  • Have a general understanding of Arrow's supply chain solutions
  • Jointly with Field Sales, identify, recommend and support implementation of supply chain solutions that will support both customer and Arrow objectives
  • Jointly with Field Sales manage an appropriate level of stock through buffer, forecast, backlog that is line with customers turnover and Arrow's stock turn expectation and at the same time ensure supply continuity for the customer. *(include also on CSR)
