Job Description:
• 7+ years' experience and in-depth skills managing and supporting a large-scale Microsoft Azure environment.• Demonstrated experience in maintaining a Microsoft Azure (IAAS, PAAS and SAAS) platform.• Experience in design and deployment of Azure MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).• Bachelor's degree or 4 -6 years related business experience in a fast paced corporate environment. Microsoft Azure 70-533, Windows Server MSCE and other technical certifications would be considered a plus.• Successful candidate must have the ability to closely interact with different business units to address support needs, gather and implement business requirements. • Should be a creative innovator who can articulate strategic visions, consistently evaluates new technologies that could support business direction and needs.• Knowledge of project planning methodologies, scheduling, prioritization & status reporting. Must have the ability to multi-task and track the status of multiple projects and issues at once. • Candidates should have strong written and verbal communications skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Working knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.• Working knowledge of Network communications, SAN and related terminology.• Familiarity with PowerShell or any other form of scripting and automation.• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.• Experience in SQL Server and database administration and Microsoft Exchange would be considered a plus.Responsibilities:• Administer and provide day to day engineering and operational support for the Azure environment.• Lead effort to develop technical standards to support and operate technologies within the current or future Microsoft Azure system platform.• Provide second and third level technical support for a mission critical corporate Windows server environment including server deployment, migrations, upgrades, patch management, application support, virus remediation, E-discovery events, business continuity, operational and disaster recovery.• Responsible for the engineering design, setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all Windows Servers and related technologies• Provides technical administrative and configuration support for Microsoft Azure platform• Procurement of necessary hardware, software, and licensing.• Candidates will participate in a variety of engineering related projects including but not limited to:o Facilities branch office additions, consolidations, closureso Participate in strategic engineering planning and road map sessiono Research & development, proof of concept evaluationso Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and simulation testing• Ensures systems high availability and data protection through the use of internal and external resources. This includes ensuring all Microsoft Azure and supported applications security issues are reported to management and are remediated in a timely fashion.• Communicates and coordinates system maintenance requirements and risk assessment for all supported hardware, software, backups, patch updates and downtime to end-users, management and operations staff.• Prepares and maintains systems and application support documentation, Visio diagrams for system configurations which are directly supported.• 24X7 On-call technical support on a rotation basis.• Domestic and international travel when required up to 10%.
