Transportation Dispatcher Coordinator

This position will be housed at the Coppell, TX facility.

The Transportation Dispatch Coordinator will tender orders to 3rd party carriers, communicate and place orders with Arrow Value Recovery Mobile Techs, contact external clients to schedules orders, and resolve issues within the life cycle of the job from pickup to delivery. This roll will communicate information regarding the transportation and recovery of Arrow Value Recovery jobs to management. The perfect candidate would be self-motivated, client focused, and work well in a team environment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Communicate information with the carriers, including scheduling of recovery jobs, obtaining shipping documents, tracking numbers and proof of deliveries, etc.
  • Maintain and follow approved routing guide for carriers and processing centers
  • Assist in shipping requests by processing shipping report in order to setup and contact carriers for pickup
  • Process minor shipping requests including redirecting freight, changing freight terms, etc. as needed or requested by management
  • Research and Resolve issues: missed pickups, onsite issues, carrier charge backs, domestic carrier account issues, damaged inventory, etc.
  • Filing, review and distribute mail, publications ordering, time cards and transportation calendar
  • Handle inquiries from processing centers, sales and client experience regarding transportation with professionalism and a high level of customer care
  • Other general duties and special projects as assigned

JOB SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated maturity and ability to work within a team
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Demonstrated customer service qualities

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or some college
  • 1-3 years demonstrated Logistics experience
  • PC proficient, Phone and office skills
  • Experience in transportation, third-party logistics or supply chain
  • Transportation industry knowledge with an emphasis on Ground carriers or Third Party Logistics

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Typing/data entry
  • Answering Phones
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs
  • Very light filing
