Job Description:

The Global Director of Manufacturing oversees the strategic and operational leadership of manufacturing operations (to include: AMSS, Cable & Assembly and AIS integrationNaz) to meet forecasted production schedule and quality metrics while being cost efficient. The candidate will be responsible for implementation of new processes, technical management of existing processes, P&L, and continuous support of manufacturing.

Job Complexity:

  • Maximize the efficiency, uptime, quality, and capacity utilization of production operations
  • Provide leadership to set aggressive objectives and insure performance standards
  • Analyze inefficiencies and lead optimization of production process to improve quality, yield, cycle time and cost
  • Ability to handle multiple production projects simultaneously by managing resources, scheduling and delivery
  • Schedule shifts and manpower per resource within shifts
  • Schedule shifts, manpower per resource within shifts and determine headcount needs, tightening headcount whenever possible
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost
  • Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects
  • Foster successful cross-functional relationships with Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning and other groups which support day-to-day operations

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline
  • 15+ years' experience in manufacturing with progressive management experience
  • Demonstrated achieve in lean manufacturing, process, yield and productivity improvements
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and translate into tactical plans for execution while maintaining established timelines and budgets
