immixGroup is seeking an Account Manager 3 (AM3) to work on an immixGroup account team. Each account team works collaboratively to leverage immixGroup’s platform of services to maintain and grow clients’ public sector business. In this role, AM3’s are responsible for generating revenue and managing business opportunities for either our new license or renewals client teams. The AM3 is responsible for developing a pipeline sufficient and managing complex enterprise business opportunities to help grow our clients’ public sector revenue. This position will require a very strong understanding of the client’s technology and how it is sold into the government marketplace including competitive positioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow business relationships with client representatives and government customers
  • Investigate and resolve government customer issues and complaints before they arise
  • Assist customer and client achieve their business goals by maintaining a strong understanding of their strategy and budget
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of business opportunities and ongoing account activities within CRM database which includes pipeline reporting, new customer data and revenue data for current customers. Articulate and present those business opportunities to immixGroup’s senior management as needed
  • Research, identify, and develop a business strategy regarding new opportunities for assigned client(s)
  • Leverage immixGroup’s Market Intelligence (MI) team to drive a strategy to grow the assigned manufacturer client(s) existing public sector business
  • Utilize appropriate business strategy in order to drive and increase public sector revenue for assigned client(s)
  • Lead client tradeshows or conferences to identify new business opportunities
  • Develop, update, and present a forecast and pipeline report on business opportunities for assigned client(s). May also present those reports to immixGroup’s leadership team as required.
  • Educate current and prospective clients and customers on immixGroup’s platform of services and how those services can grow their public sector business
  • Provide operational guidance and support to junior staff
  • Create quotes, manage agreements/credit terms and process purchase orders for government customers as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent. 2+ years of military experience or 4+ years of work experience can substitute in lieu of a degree
  • 3-5 years of previous business experience

Highly Desirable Attributes

  • Previous experience with the government procurement process
  • Team Player capable of working within a collaborative environment
  • Self-starter who exhibits attention to detail and expert organization skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office; Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications experience
