Vice President, Product MarketingThe Vice President of Product Marketing is a member of the AppNexus Global Strategy and Delivery Leadership Team, reporting to the COO. We are seeking a dynamic senior product marketing executive to deeply partner with our Product Line Management team to build and manage a world class Product Marketing organization supporting our Enterprise and Marketplace products globally. This role requires strategic thinking and a demonstrated track record of leading messaging and positioning activities for a global industry leading technology company in a highly dynamic market. Qualified candidates will have a passion for working cross-functionally to develop and execute go-to-market product plans that deliver quantifiable impact for our clients and our business.About the job:Own strategy and development of global product positioning, messaging and related content for the AppNexus technology platform including our Enterprise and Marketplace productsWork with senior AppNexus leadership to enhance AppNexus’ position as a platform, marketplace, and product leader in our industryDevelop and manage a world class team of Product Marketers, tightly integrated with Product Line Management, commercial sales and marketing, operations, and other key functional contributorsPartner closely with Product Line Managers (PLMs) to support Product growth from inception through maturity from a strategy, messaging, competitive positioning, and demand generation perspective. Product Marketing will be responsible for development of all Product Line messaging and materials including white papers, customer success stories, collateral, demos, etcCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales & Account Management, Corporate Marketing and Commercial Marketing to incorporate feedback and insights from the field. Partner with Enablement on Commercial Training to ensure all teams stay current on key product and platform developments to maintain consistent messagingAnalyze and monitor marketing effectiveness quantitatively, developing and reporting on performance of product and company level marketing KPIsAbout your skills:5+ years’ experience leading product marketing teams, 15+ years’ overall professional experienceBA/BS degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred but not requiredExperience building product marketing teams and strategies in high-growth enterprise software, B2B marketplace and technology industriesProven record of partnering with Commercial teams to help them achieve and surpass revenue targetsOutstanding storytelling abilities that enhance our potential to deliver transformative thought leadership in marketAbility to quickly become an expert on customers, the industry and on the competitive landscapeStrong cross functional collaborator and influencer, with excellent strategic thinking skillsOutstanding communication skills – one-on-one, presentation and content building, with track record for teaching others these critical skillsHiring Manager: Ryan ChristensenRecruiter:Clare Gallagher
