Vice President, Commercial MarketingThe Vice President, Commercial Marketing, is a member of the Commercial Leadership Team reporting to the President of AppNexus. We are seeking a dynamic senior marketing executive to partner closely with our Sales organization to drive regional marketing strategies across the Americas, EMEA and JAPAC regions. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for working cross-functionally with Sales and other Marketing and Communications teams to develop and execute regionalized plans to win new customers and solidify AppNexus’ market leadership position.About the team:The AppNexus Commercial Marketing team is embedded in the commercial organization and works in close coordination with sales and account managers to evangelize the company’s product strategy and roadmap, drive new and incremental business opportunities, and generate awareness in regional markets. The team also works closely with our Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing and Communications organizations to ensure that company messaging resonates most effectively in local markets and in the field.About the job:At its core, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping other people do better and be more effective through the lens of field/commercial marketing. The Vice President, Commercial Marketing, will:Partner deeply with the leaders of regional Sales organizations to define, plan and execute regionally focused marketing strategies that include regional events, partner marketing programs, VIP dinners, and other initiatives and programs to support the Sales team in exceeding their revenue targetsCollaborate with the Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing and Sales teams in the areas of field marketing, digital marketing, and demand generation, as well as provide a conduit for field insights to pass back to the rest of the Marketing organizationLead and build a highly effective and diverse global Commercial Marketing team to support the Americas, EMEA and JAPAC regionsPartner with Operations and Engineering colleagues on the selection and deployment of marketing automation systemsDevelop and manage functional strategic and operating plans and marketing budgets, and drive analytics to assess and continually improve effectivenessPartner with key clients and partners to co-market and maximize market effectiveness of our relationshipsPlay an overall leadership role in the development of and execution of AppNexus’ commercial go-to-market strategyAbout your skills:Ability to drive Sales team revenue results through Field Marketing efforts in a data-driven analytical environment5+ years’ experience leading a marketing team in demand generation or field marketing, 15+ years’ overall professional experienceSales, sales management, cross-regional, and/or adtech experience will all be seen as a significant plusProven record of partnering with Sales teams to help them achieve and surpass revenue targetsStrong leadership skills with a track record of working cross-functionally to build relationships and influence changeOutstanding storytelling abilities that build content amplification in the marketBA/BS degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred but not requiredHiring Manager:Michael RubensteinRecruiter:Clare Gallagher
