Solutions Engineer IIThe AppNexus Solutions Engineer II is the technical lead when consulting to or selling into the most strategic prospects and accounts for AppNexus. Solutions Engineers are responsible for articulating the AppNexus value proposition, architecting custom ad serving solutions, and offering thought leadership to both business and technical audiences. This role is ideal for someone with enterprise software pre-sales experience who is passionate about technology.About the team:The Services team is dedicated to earning customer loyalty while building a world-class company together. Real-time advertising can fundamentally transform our clients’ businesses, and we bring it to life for them.About the job:Develop a deep understanding of the business goals and complex technical requirements of prospective clients and map these to AppNexus technology solutionsEvaluate strategic opportunities and collaborate with internal organizations (including sales, product management, and client services) to formulate and execute sales strategyBuild and maintain trusted advisor relationships with influential decision makers and key stakeholdersLead cross-functional initiatives to drive the improvement of AppNexus products and servicesAssist in developing world class solutions engineering processes through mentoring others and documenting/sharing best practicesAbout your skills:Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, web servers, and other internet/network protocolsTechnical pre-sales or consulting experience with enterprise accountsSuccessful track record working closely with C-suite executivesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with equally good listening skillsThoughtful approach to problem solving that includes long-term, strategic considerations for every business opportunityFamiliarity with online media buying and selling, advertising technology solutions, and ad network business models is a plusMore about you:You are passionate about a culture of learning and teaching.
