Director of Software Engineering Data Management Platform

Xandr is looking for an intellectually curious, results-oriented, self-starter Director of Data Management Platform (DMP) Engineering who is eager to take on the opportunity of having an immediate impact to our core business.

This hire will focus on leading a high impact team building our core DMP/DSP products such as Audience onboarding, device graph, look alike modeling, audience forecasting, and audience segmentation.

About the team:

  • Team Size: Presently 15 but expected to grow to 30 by end of year.

  • We are looking for a leader who can not only help create a vision for solving some of the most difficult data and advertising problems but transform it into high quality products delivering high customer impact.
  • In this role, reporting directly to our SVP of Engineering, you will work closely with executives on a daily basis to formulate the strategy, roadmap, and execution.
  • You will be leading a team of smart, passionate engineers and designers.
  • You will provide professional development guidance and mentorship to help them grow their careers, and foster an inclusive, positive culture that emphasizes strong ownership and accountability. 

About your skills:

  • Experiences in working in the Adtech industry and Data Management Platforms is a huge plus
  • Product minded: you are focused on building high-quality, intuitive products
  • Golang, C/C++, Java, Javascript
  • MySQL, Postgres, Kafka, Redis, Druid, HBase, Cassandra
  • Distributed Systems, Multi-Datacenter, Cloud
  • Experience in Architecting large scale/complex systems
  • Has led a multi-disciplinary team of UI/UX/Backend and Testing Engineers
  • Experience with Probabilistic Data structures and Data Stores
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience working in CI/CD/TDD
  • Well-developed fundamentals in building interactive web applications
  • Experience working with designers and other developers to take a project from concept to life.
  • You care deeply about building meaningful, beautiful products that empower the creative world.
  • Strong track record of shipping incredible business impact and getting stuff done.
  • Have experience scaling out teams and managing other managers
