Content & Campaigns Manager

AppNexus is looking for a creative Content & Campaigns Manager to produce various types of engaging downloadable and blog content focused on our business, products, and people. Additionally, the person in this role will be responsible for amplifying those assets to the industry through end-to-end, multi-channel campaigns that reach a set of targeted audiences. This role requires a high level of creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and project management skills, and will play a critical role in meeting commercial revenue and marketing goals as we approach a company-defining year.

The AppNexus Marketing team shapes and manages AppNexus’ brand, including corporate and product messaging, relying on data from market and competitive research to evolve our strategy. From tweets to one-sheets, from media appearances to industry-hyped events and world conferences, we dazzle our industry peers, potential clients, and prospective hires.

About the job:

  • Lead a semiannual, cross-functional strategic planning process outlining campaigns and assets that support commercial and corporate goals, as well as target audiences and channels
  • Partner with internal clients (e.g., sales, account management, data science, product) to develop a strong understanding of audience and business needs
  • Develop, manage, and own semiannual content / campaign calendar that aligns to our product roadmap, major industry events, and other notable company events
  • Create compelling downloadable, video, email, and blog content focused on AppNexus’ business, products, and people
  • Distribute content assets through a strategic mix of owned communication channels (e.g., website, blog, email, social media), as well as paid and sponsored advertising
  • Evaluate and adjust content strategies to respond to changing market trends and commercial team needs
  • Leverage data to monitor content marketing effectiveness and identify, define, and recommend operational and content improvements
  • Manage content marketing budget and executional resources (i.e., additional copywriters, designers as needed)

About your skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience telling interesting stories about complex technical products through unique methods, channels and formats
  • Demonstrable interest in or intimate knowledge of big data, data science, technology, and/or computer science
  • Strong writer who can work under pressure to respond to industry happenings
  • Experience interviewing executives, peers, and strangers (whether formally or informally) to draw out interesting insights
  • Experience mining web and social analytics to guide improvements, assess campaign success, and report back to key stakeholders
  • Experimental outlook with the ability to fail fast and start over (or win fast and keep going!)
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
