Account Manager

AppNexus is seeking an Account Manager to join the team within our rapidly growing business in Central Europe. The Account Manager is responsible for working with our clients at all levels of their organizations, from the C-level to Ad Ops, to retain and grow their businesses by identifying and solving problems. Account Managers develop a deep understanding of the AppNexus technology platform. The ideal candidate is analytical and solutions-oriented and possesses keen commercial acumen.

About the job:

  • Manage strategy, solutions, consultative selling and relationships with clients
  • Develop and maintain meaningful long-term relationships with clients’ stakeholders
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, the advertising technology industry, the competitive landscape and AppNexus’ offerings
  • Understand clients’ strategies, KPIs and ROI metrics to identify risks to clients achieving their business goals and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Suggest and develop processes, products and services that will better achieve client objectives
  • Drive the creation and delivery of quarterly and annual business reviews with clients, highlighting progress against jointly agreed KPI’s and drive incremental business
  • Take charge of clients’ accounts and play an essential project-lead role: drive new customer onboarding through value selling, delegate projects, monitor workflow and ensure on-time delivery and effective issue resolution
  • Develop comprehensive and compelling proposals in response to RFPs and close deals

About your skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in Account Management or other related client-facing roles
  • Experience in the online advertising ecosystem is a plus, specifically with technology driven advertising
  • Customer centric mind-set and ability to communicate and present effectively and professionally up to a C-level audience
  • An analytical thinker, technically inclined and detail-oriented with strong mathematical skills
  • Proven skills in MS-Office, familiar with relational databases and contemporary business systems is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with experience in cross-functional teamwork and a willingness to share knowledge and facilitate team rapport
  • Strong project management skills and high degree of self-organization
  • Fluency in English and German Language
