Key Qualifications
- Strong background in imaging, digital signal processing, estimation, machine learning, or mathematical modeling
- Multi-disciplinary understanding of EE, ME, and Physics principles
- High proficiency in prototyping/analysis scripting languages like MATLAB/Python
- Experience in modeling complex cross-disciplinary systems
- Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and signal-to-noise analysis
- Functional knowledge of C/C++ and compute optimization for embedded systems
- Hands-on experience in system-level design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and logic/problem solving skills

Description
You will be developing and validating advanced algorithms to ensure sensor system performance. This will involve developing comprehensive sensor system models with block-level simulations of sensor modules. You will use estimation and machine learning techniques to analyze and improve sensor architectures, and engage in sensor technology scoping and prototyping investigations. Development and negotiation of cross-functional requirements to ensure module performance will be a key part of the role, and as such you will collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Electrical Engineering teams, to create state-of-the-art sensor solutions. Further responsibilities include: Develop detailed sensor module and algorithm architecture specifications Analyze engineering and production data sets in order to reconcile system model Author regular technical communications for executive and cross-functional briefings Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving
Education & Experience
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics, or industry experience equivalent
