Apple's Pencil group supports several high-visibility user-facing features & frameworks spanning the iOS Notes drawing & handwriting experience, Screenshots, Markup and beyond. We are looking for a creative and hardworking QA engineer to help with testing these features and help ensure Apple software is of the highest quality!

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Exceptional understanding of QA methodologies & practices
  • Ability to investigate and debug difficult problems
  • Fundamental understanding of Apple's platforms - macOS and iOS
  • Passionate about Pencil-based experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task well and change focus quickly
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver
  • Highly organized, motivated and passionate about achieving results
  • Knowledge of Python or Swift


Description

As a QA engineer, you will be working closely with other QA/Automation engineers & Pencil & Paper Engineering team to establish the bar for quality. You will make sure that our products meet that bar - by planning tests, doing manual testing and writing automation tests. You will also be responsible for reporting on testing progress and the overall health of your assigned areas throughout the development cycle. Your main job responsibilities will include the following: Planning, designing, creating and executing test cases Performing daily ad-hoc and structured tests Bug reporting and isolation Providing release sign offs Writing automation and/or helping other automation team members to come up with a plan

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements

  • *Proficiency in other spoken languages - such as Spanish, Chinese or Japanese
