Key Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Cellular 4G LTE/5G NR protocol stack and PHY.
  • Experience working with wireless test simulators and/or log analysis tools to debug and root cause issues
  • Academic background or prior work exposure to signal processing, wireless systems, RF, Digital and Platform Architecture
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python for data analysis and visualisation
  • Prior exposure to Network vendor IOT, carrier technical interface and Standards
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP stack is a big plus


Description

Join the "Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE)" organization and become a part of the industry leading team of wireless performance engineers responsible for driving innovative solutions to differentiate the user experience of our wireless products used by 100s of millions of users worldwide. As part of the Performance Engineering team, you will be working on analyzing wireless thermal management and brownout avoidance software sub-systems and use cases as well as identify and prototype solutions to improve end-to-end user experience In thermally challenged scenarios. The candidate should have a mix of experience in development, testing and data analysis. This role involves working in a highly cross functional environment working with many different partners across Core OS, Networking, Battery, Power, Media, Apps, Firmware and Platform Engineering teams and require extraordinary communication skills, relationship building and cross stack knowledge.

Education & Experience

MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (focus on signal processing and wireless systems or 10+ years of relevant industry experience in the field of wireless
