Key Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management, driving architecture decisions, conducting design reviews, and presenting data and process flows
  • Extensive functional and technical background in the areas of Master Data Management, Metadata management, Data Quality, Data integration (ETL) and Data Governance
  • Expert in designing and implementing master data management & data quality solutions with at least 10 years of hands-on experience with one leading commercial off the shelf MDM platform (preferably Stibo)
  • Expert in MDM development around administration, configuration, defining MDM data models, configuring match / merge, workflows, exception handling, and integration
  • Experience in building Master Data Management APIs according to approved design patterns for batch and real-time integration. Experience in Java programming a plus
  • Experience implementing MDM solutions for Product Data, Customer / Account Data, Vendor Data desired
  • Deep understanding of data quality processes and principles, including data profiling, data quality rules, scorecards, exception management and remediation
  • Expert understanding of data models, database schemas, and optimization in domain driven design
  • Excellent presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills; Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
  • Experience working on big data and cloud platforms on large data implementations; Messaging systems, Data testing frameworks; build and deployment of data products

Description

The MDM Lead is responsible for providing MDM solutions and operating the MDM / DQ platform and tools that meet business needs and collaborates closely with MDM and DQ development and support teams to provide architectural oversight, standards, direction, and guidance. We are a growing team with plenty of interesting business challenges to solve through effective data management. We seek a self-starter, who is willing to learn fast, adapt well to changing requirements and work with cross functional teams and support Product Marketing, Sales, and Sales Finance teams to deliver governed data solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Drive MDM strategy, Process Design, high level MDM architecture requirements and the implementation roadmap - Lead a team to design and implement high quality MDM solutions - Define, develop and institute robust, quality processes to implement data changes and database modifications. - Provide data technology advice and counsel to Data Stewards on Master Data, Data Governance, and data management projects - Collaborate with integration teams to develop master data acquisition strategies, ETL design patterns, pub-sub - Resolve complex technical issues as they relate to master data architecture, performance, and various tools, working closely with technical team members - Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of MDM objects including hierarchies, workflows, match & merge, survivorship rules, data import / export, batch processes, visualization, and user interface design - Work directly with Business Data Stewards and stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop implementation design, mastering rules, and quality controls - Partner with security resources to ensure compliance with data security and privacy mandates - Work closely with the Data Operations lead to enforce data quality policies, rules, and standards to drive compliance to quality standards and metrics - Research viable technical and/or non-technical solutions, advocate, influence, and build consensus for innovations that satisfy business needs

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Data Management / Data Analytics / Engineering / Computer Science

Additional Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing master data and / or large-scale data architectures / cloud solutions
