Apple is looking for a natural collaborator and exceptional program manager who is enthusiastic about creating an environment where people come to do their best work. As part of the DesignOps team within Product & Design - a large, global creative group within Apple Services - you will design programs, produce content and facilitate courses focused on developing the people who make up our diverse product management and multi-disciplinary design organization. From onboarding through ongoing career development and management training, you will both define and deliver on a strategic learning and development roadmap that aligns with our business objectives and supports this growing organization. With a direct impact on many key milestones throughout an employee's journey, this is a role for a creative mind, problem solver, and implementer who wants to contribute and lead on several fronts at once. In this role you will heavily collaborate with employees and leadership across the Product & Design organization, as well as partner teams such as Recruiting and People. We are an international organization, with our main hubs in Silicon Valley and Culver City, as well as smaller hubs in London and Singapore. As such, some travel will be necessary.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a role leading training efforts for large companies and/or creative teams (developing training materials, delivering training content, partnering with leadership to build course work, and evaluating results)
  • 3+ years experience in program/project management or comparable role
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory and ability to implement learning solutions that are interactive and learner-centered
  • Proficiency in different strategies to engage learners through presentation, facilitation and mentorship, as well as use of online and offline training concepts
  • Experience in the analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs required
  • Ability to flex from strategic to tactical work depending on priorities and needs
  • Acute attention to detail while simultaneously managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and excellent prioritization and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and get results
  • A polished communicator who can motivate, influence and impress effectively with all levels using multiple methods
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to flourish in an environment of constant change
  • Eagerness to accept accountability, displaying ownership over your work and the impact it has on the success of the business
  • Ability to work highly independently with little guidance on the day-to-day running of projects
  • Willingness to see challenging projects through completion and shown ability to work well with others under pressure


Description

- Facilitate strategic discussions with leaders to identify needs, align on goals and objectives, scope requests, and deliver results. Use your experience and judgment to build customized solutions which can be modified to scale when needed - Lead the development and launch strategy for learning programs, from start to finish. Customize learning formats and delivery methods in order to roll out globally to a distributed audience - Build, iterate and scale learning programs that define clear objectives, engage learners, and develop the skill and innovation needed to meet current and future challenges - Design programs that support the development of managers and expand their leadership capabilities - Establish methods for measuring and reporting on learner engagement, retention, and application. Give program visibility through written status, ongoing reporting, and summary presentations - Research and advocate for learning initiatives that will promote a workforce with greater skill, agility, and expertise - Develop deep relationships with business leaders, learning professionals, and cross-functional partners to share ideas, practices, and solutions to complex problems to ensure that we stay on the cutting edge of employee development - Leverage your relationships, influencing and negotiating skills to secure resources required to get the work done

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • - Proficiency in Keynote and familiarity with the functionality of multimedia tools
  • - Experience creating content for and publishing within a Content or Learning Management System
  • - Knowledge and ease working in collaboration tools (ex: Quip, Slack)
  • - Flexibility in schedule, allowing you to work with employees across timezones
  • - Experience collaborating and driving projects with distributed teams preferred (ie - not all in one location)
