We are seeking a world-class Product Management Leader to lead a team of product managers responsible for the next generation of marketplace algorithms and optimization features. The ideal candidate would have built products related to online advertising, search, recommendation systems, and human ratings with experience in ML/data driven product management. In addition, the ideal candidate would also have experience directly managing and developing people. We are looking for a strong leader who can define a product vision, strategy and roadmap, then successfully lead teams from development to launch and continued optimization and operation of the product.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience building ML software products.
  • 5+ years of building advertising technology including platforms (ad exchange, or supply side platform), ad networks (mobile), and search advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability handling an impactful Product Management team.
  • Experience partnering with external teams and cross functional partners to deliver on shared outcomes.
  • Customer first point of view with a track record of building ML solutions that optimize for end user and advertiser experience goals.
  • Ability to demonstrate data driven approaches to justify product opportunities and measure success.
  • Solid understanding of modern machine learning and its components with track record of collaborating with ML engineers and data scientists on technical design discussions and proposing simple, creative solutions to sophisticated problems.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with an ability to influence and collaboratively build consensus.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.

Description

- Define product vision and strategy for the Marketplace advertiser and user experience products, with a focus on building and improving ads relevance, matching, quality, integrity, and recommendations across our ad placements using the latest ML technologies. - Set clear metrics that measure the health of the ads marketplace and develop strategy to improve long term marketplace health by balancing business, advertiser, and user needs. - Work very closely with Data insights and Engineering (including Privacy, Yield management, Ad serving and Experimentation) teams to plan, develop and launch products at scale. - Collaborate with business partners to understand business direction, customer needs, product structure, and requirements. - Articulate strategy, progress, and status of product features in executive and leadership reviews. - Define, prioritize, and deliver marketplace product roadmap and product features based on business requirements and be responsible for the development, delivery, and deployment of solutions. - Attract, build, lead, and mentor a dedicated & diverse team of product managers globally.

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or related areas

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,500 and $334,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
